Our Green Boxes Are Created for Your Lifestyle

We’ve made it super easy for you to eat nutrient-dense, pasture-raised meats on a budget. J&L Green Farm provides three box choices with Monthly Auto-Ship or One Time Purchase options in gradually increasing sizes to fit just about anyone’s budget and lifestyle. Each Green Box is carefully curated, featuring our best cuts of pastured chicken, pastured pork and 100% grass fed beef. You could always add individual items available for shipping in your cart to fill a small, medium, or large shipping cooler. However, these Green Boxes offer substantial savings for you since we include expensive cuts like steaks along with more affordable ones, bringing down your cost per pound to a price that often beats some mass-produced meats from the grocery store.

Nourish Box: $90 (Valued at 110!) This is our small box, containing 8 lbs of goodness that you can use to nourish your family. The Nourish Box is designed for a family of two who love cooking at least a few evenings a week. It is ideal for anyone getting started on a more wholesome lifestyle. We include our customer favorites including pork chops, ground beef, New York Strip, and sausage, breasts among other cuts.
Sustain Box: $177 (Valued at 190!) This is our medium box, containing 18 lbs of deliciousness that you can use to sustain your family. The Sustain Box is put together with a family of four to six in mind, and includes items like ground beef, breast, boston butt, steak, and more. The contents can easily feed a family of two for a month as well.
Interested in a sampling that includes mostly beef or mostly chicken?  Try the Bounty Box or the Pasture Box!
Frequently Asked Questions About Shipping What products are available to ship? Besides our turkey and ready-to-eat foods which are both only available to Virginia residents, here's a shopping page with items that can be shipped nationally.

How are the meats packaged?

Our meats are shrink-wrapped and labeled by a USDA-certified processor, T&E MeatsWe use shipping boxes with insulated coolers and ice packs and ship all the meats frozen. You can expect meats to arrive cold (but not always frozen, especially during the summer months). Please ask to upgrade to 2 day shipping if you are concerned.

Where do you ship? Currently we ship to all contiguous US states. That means we do not yet ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

What if I live in Virginia? Since our farm is located in Virginia, you have other options in addition to shipping. You can join one of our monthly drop sites and pick up your order if the drop-off times work with your schedule. You could also pick up directly from our farm store, located at 4010 Swover Creek Road, Edinburg, VA 22824. Keep in mind that Virginia residents can also order our ready-to-eat products, in addition to our meats!

How does Monthly Auto-Ship work?
On the same week of each month that your original order ships, we will automatically charge your card and ship another box to you.  We will e-mail you your invoice each time and shipment tracking number.

Can I cancel my Monthly Auto-Ship?
Yes, you can email us at [email protected] and ask to cancel your auto-ship box at least 2 weeks prior.

How long does it take? Based on where you live in the contiguous United States, your order will take anywhere between 1-3 business days to arrive after it leaves our farm. Below is a map with the shipping zones and their corresponding arrival times.

VIRGINIA Shipping: 1 day - VA, DC
ZONE A: Ground Shipping- DE, IN, KY, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TN, WV

What are the shipping charges?

The shipping charges depend on two things: your location in the US, and how many pounds you are ordering. We charge a flat shipping rate for small, medium, and large boxes depending on the destination. To get the biggest bang for your shipping buck, you should make sure the items you are ordering are right around 8 lbs for the small box, 18 lbs for the medium box, or 30-45 lbs for the large box. This is because if you’re only getting 10 lbs of meat (a little too big for our small cooler, has to go in a medium), it will be the same charge as for 18 lbs (the max capacity of our medium cooler). The flat rate fee increases by cooler size we use to pack. Alternatively, to save yourself the hassle of counting (and to get a better deal), you can just choose one of our curated Green Boxes! Below is a breakdown of shipping costs based on location and box size.

Box Weight

1-8 lbs, or Nourish Box: $25 for VA, $25 for Zone A, $35 for Zone B, $60 for Zone B express, and $60 for Zone C

9-18 lbs, or Sustain or Bounty Box: $25 for VA, $30 for Zone A, $40 for Zone B, $80 for Zone B express, and $90 for Zone C

19-45 lbs: $40 for VA, $40 for Zone A, $60 for Zone B, $140 for Zone B express, and $160 for Zone C

How will I be charged on cuts of meat that vary based on the unique cut (for example, a roast, as opposed to the 1-lb ground beef packs)? Since each cut varies a little bit based on the exact weight, we only provide an estimate of the cost in your cart until we weigh your order and package it. A final invoice will be emailed to you, and your credit card or PayPal account will be charged for the final amount only.

What if I have questions or issues with my order? We consider all our customers active participants in our farm family. Without your orders, we wouldn’t exist! We strive to offer the very best customer service, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you have about our farm, the ordering process, or anything else. We will contact you via email or phone if an item is sold out, not available for shipping to your state, or if there are too many items to fit comfortably in a cooler box. The best way to contact us is to email Laura Green at [email protected].

What is your return policy? Since meat is perishable, we cannot accept any returns. As farmers who own and manage the farm as well as pack all outgoing orders ourselves, we cannot process returned food. We encourage you to take the time to ask any questions in advance - we are more than happy to address any potential concerns. Keep in mind that the images taken of our products are our own, so that should also give you a good idea of what to expect from each cut.
